Earlier today, our web designers took a look at other looks for the site. But after a few hours, our team decided the current Theories.com theme still serves our purpose best, to give the user easy access. The submission process has also been slightly simplified, and based on site statistics, we have increased the width of the site overall.

For the past few months, the team has spent most of the time making checks and optimizing behind the scene operations, tweaking and correcting. We've also implemented a better and more efficent backup system, in case the site is to be jeopardized in anyway. But do not fear, your personal information is encrypted, and remember, we will never ask for credit card information, social security number, etc.

As of today, Christophe Lumalive (Senior Web Designer), gave us the OK to say we are done. Truth be told, the site has been finished for a while, however we were told to work in the dark. The time spent was basically to collect data. Unfortunately, the forum will not be active for quite a while longer--items are still out of place, and the whole concept remains on the drawling board.

Theories.com has fallen behind due to other obligations. Much had been placed on hold while serveral of our valued designers, editors, and staff took a vacation. And recently a valued staff member, Matt McFarlin, became a father. We give a wholehearted congratulations to the new mom and dad! And as of today the team is back together and we have already begun. Currently the site will be undergoing constant change. Items will be appearing and dissapearing. Please bear with us, it is all part of the testing. Our new design is predicted to be 300% more advanced and efficient than before. Our layout will still change, but the basics (categories, poll, etc) will still be here, and all on the same page.
"Theories 2.0 is upon us. Get excited!" (Roy Bergan Vice President)
As of 5/5/09:
STATUS:
The team has seen all the recommendations sent in by loyal patrons. Unfortunately, a few days ago our severs became extremely uncoroporative, and many of our articles have been erased. "The good news is all of articles have been backed up on a seperate private server." (Jack Bonds Technical-support). Theories has already placed an order for the replacement servers. Meanwhile, as our transaction is processed and shipped, please hold your articles. We want to appologize for the inconvienence.
Status on Theories 2.0 is as such:
"After recieving many great ideas, we have compiled the best and are currently implementing it into the new site. We are proud to announce that this will be the best Theories yet. However, before we can begin coding the new site, all our existing software must be replaced and/or updated. And the team must be retrained to program with the new code. Bear with us." (Roy Bergan Vice President)
What you can expect in Theories 2.0: A question of the day, widescreen format, HTML editing, and more! You can also expect the return of the all favored Theories Forum.
As of 4/10/09:
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
- Completely redesign the Theories.com interface
We first want to thank all of those generous people out there that have taken a notice to our community and have saught out to better the site. Now, based on user feedback, the team has concluded that the current theme was not as user-friendly as we had originally planned. As of now we are still reading feedback. But as soon as we finish collecting information, we will take your suggestions and construct a brand new site! This site will include many new features that even we haven't got a clue about yet.
We have an ETA of 4-5 months. To break that down an estimated 2-3 months will be dedicated to utilizing all the new ideas and producing a rough sketch of site. The other 2-3 monthes will be used to actually construct the site.
But until all this is up and running, we will still update the site and that will be our Secondary Objectives.
SECONDARY OBJECTIVE:
- Fix a couple of broken links
- Make the login process better
- Quicker page load-up times
- Other
